Unit 3 - World War I

The First World War shocked many in the world because many believed that we had reached an era of civilitiy and diplomacy, and the time of armed conflict was past us. However, that was not to be. This was a long, hard, brutal war that reminded the world that how important and valuable true peace is. Yet, the horrors of war blinded many to the origins of conflict and led them towards harsh peace settlements. How would you have handled things? Would your peace contract have been different?

Below is an excellent video regarding the Entente offensive in the summer of 1918.
